If you have a native serial port, then you may get lucky trying COM1, 2 or 3.
Once you get the serial connection set up, you will have a COM port number associated with this connection. It's your choice, but many of the USB to Serial adapters sold on eBay and the like are not recommended due to the high possibility of getting counterfeit parts. I can recommend the adapter sold by Staples for this. Not knowing what your computer is, or if it has a native serial port, you may need an additional adapter (USB to Serial). In Ham Radio Deluxe Logbook, getting to the Console is a matter of dropping down the Show dropdown and switching from Spots to Console. You need a serial connection from your computer to the radio.
